Open to me the Doors of Repentance
It is time for Lent! Orthodox Churches use the Julian calendar to determine the date of Pascha, which means we start Lent later than other churches here in Jackson. We begin Great Lent on March 17, and celebrate Great and Holy Pascha (or Easter) on Sunday, May 5. We have an abundance of services during this time. We welcome visitors and invite you to experience Lent and Holy Week with us!
Christ is in our midst!
St. Nicholas Orthodox Church is a mission of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. Our Church traces its roots in unbroken apostolic succession to first century Antioch, where they were first called “Christians," and we're committed to living the gospel today in Jackson, TN. Come visit us!
We have regular Saturday night and Sunday morning services, but others vary with the seasons. See the full list of services.
Great Lent begins on March 17 with Forgiveness Vespers. Holy Week is April 27-May 4, with Great and Holy Pascha on Sunday, May 5! See all of our Services for Great Lent and Holy Week.
